Heading to the Northern Quarter’s Frog & Bucket Comedy Club in May is ‘The Muslims Are Coming!‘ – a show celebrating Ramadan & Eid and featuring the very best of established and new comedy talent – both homegrown and international.
Priding themselves on celebrating comedians who appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds, The Muslims Are Coming! is a guaranteed fun night out where you can unwind, relax and have a laugh with friends, family or work colleagues.

Tez Ilyas
Tez Ilyas is one of the most celebrated stars in British comedy. In 2015 Ilyas achieved phenomenal success with his debut stand up hour TEZ Talks, followed by Made in Britain which went on to sell out every single performance at the Edinburgh Fringe.
His Channel 4 comedy Blap Bounty is the most watched show in the strand’s 10 year history and in 2019 he fronted his own Channel 4 satirical sketch series The Tez O’Clock Show to huge critical acclaim.
In 2020, Tez released his first stand up comedy special, Teztify, recorded live at the Southbank Centre, playing out exclusively on YouTube. In 2021 Tez released his hotly anticipated debut novel The Secret Diary of a British Muslim Aged 13 3/4, a teenage memoir to widespread critical acclaim

Eshaan Akbar
Since starting comedy in March 2014, Eshaan Akbar has established himself as an act with exciting potential.
His professional career has taken him from private banking through to corporate communications via a career in local government public policy. He has previously written for The Guardian, The Times online, The Observer New Review and The Huffington Post UK. He is a member of the UK Speechwriters Guild and Fellow of the RSA.
A winner of the Piccadilly Comedy Club New Comedian of the Year 2016, Eshaan has been in the finals of other prestigious competitions, including So You Think You’re Funny 2014 and Laughing Horse 2014. He performs across the UK and has performed in Germany and Bangladesh. In 2016, he supported Dane Baptiste on his UK tour and did warm up work for “Micky Flanagan and Friends”.
