I told you at the start of the year about how The House of Adventure Group, the people who bought Simple and Cord last year, had also bought Fyg on Tib Street. I’d told you about how they were going to slowly transform the café space into a wine bar with a twist, retaining much of the best bits of old-Fyg, but having a focus on quality breakfasts and a stronger evening offering. Well forget all that!
Somebody at HoA got wood! Once they’d got it they went all out to create a wine bar and deli where wood is the main characteristic. Take a look at the picture and I’m sure you will agree that WOOD. Wine & Deli is aptly named.
With bar stools made from tree trunks, a simple hanging piece of wood used as an outdoor sign and beautiful platter boards made from rare Mexican wood it will be worth checking the place out just to see if there is anywhere they could have fit in any more wood!
Open daily from 9am, WOOD. Wine & Deli caters for your morning needs with hearty breakfasts, heads off your lunchtime cravings with delicious sandwiches and nails your evening sustenance with cheese & meat platters which are served until late every night. Perhaps more importantly, alongside all this food, WOOD. has over 50 carefully selected wines for every occasion.
WOOD. Wine & Deli is situated right next door to their sister site Simple Bar & Kitchen; you should probably go and take a look.
