Championing emerging acts making waves in the city right now, alongside the veterans of the Manchester music scene, this is a live broadcast open house for those who enjoy quality music and absorbing conversation. It’s that time of year again when we all come together to celebrate vinyl recorded music and support your local record shop! So we urge you to head to Piccadilly Records, Eastern Bloc Records and Beatin’ Rythym to grab the limited press then head over to Soup Kitchen for what they themselves believe to be their best Record Store Day Live line up yet! Who are we to argue? No tickets in advance just rock up on the door, pay £3 and see Horrid, Bernard and Edith, Francis Lung, Menage a Trois, Aldous RH and Mother.

Originally founded as a duo in 2012, The After Hours Rauchestra quickly established itself as one of the more versatile Hot-Jazz outfits on the scene. Playing with sensitivity and an apparent sense of ease the band really love letting rip; to the delight of audiences young and old. Expect to hear classics from the like of Sydney Bechet, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong and Benny Goodman along side a few vintage interpretations of contemporary classics! MUK Klub is Manchester label MUK Records live event, showcasing up and coming talent alongside artists from the labels current roster. For this their second outing to Night & Day their show will be headlined by MUK Records latest signing, the hotly tipped London post grunge four-piece Storms. Joining the line up will be Manchester dream-pop trio Mary Joanna set to enchant the crowd with their sweet melodic caress of psychedelia, pop and electronica. Live featuring Minute Taker and The Imogen Styles. Then from 11pm it’s back to normal with Electropop Curious playing the very best synthpop bands and artists from the 1980’s right up to the present day, so expect to hear the greatest singles, album tracks and lost treasures. DJ sets come from Danny Olsson-Lane, Phil Bakstad and the ever-present Christopher Dresden Styles.
