Greg Wilson, 2022NQ

Greg Wilson

What is better then seeing Greg Wilson work his reel to reel DJ magic? The answer is, seeing him in a nice and intimate venue, and 2022NQ fits that bill rather nicely thank you very much. Greg played last New Years eve, bringing his groove based music and homegrown edit set to a riotious climax at 2022NQ and the team thought it was about time he repeated that performance. All the details are over here and there are a few tickets left, but be quick.

Kamikaze, Matt & Phred's

Matt & Phreds

The guys down at Matt & Phred’s love Kamikaze so much that they’ve invited them back for a hot August gig! The Kamikaze Quartet are now settled as just that, a quartet, including Colin Crichton on Saxophone, Danny Wellens on Keyboards, Joshua Brierley on Bass and Craig Hanson on Drums, the group have spent the majority of their time writing new and innovative compositions, seeking influence outside of their antecedent jazz homage and moving into their own unique sound blended from the band’s passion for funk, ethnic and cinematic music. The quartet put on a colourful show with their stirring melodic hooks and ardent rhythmic approach, whilst often revisiting the jazz pastiche on which they built their musical foundations. Expect the quartet to also welcome special guests onto the stage with them, with the possibility of extra horn players or even singers joining the group.
