Tonight Matt & Phred’s welcomes Lucas D & The Groove Ghetto to grace their stage. This 6 piece instrumental Acid Jazz outfit play eclectic tunes ranging from Rare Groove, 60s/70s Acid Jazz to Film Themes and Contemporary Jazz Funk.Made up of some of Birmingham’s best musicians, they create a groove that captivates audiences. Founded in February 2012 in the back streets of Harborne, this amazing group, who’s CV covers a wealth of musical styles and highly rated collaborations, promises to drive forward with a special experience of raw talented performances.

Headliners Blue Nation are an indie/blues driven outfit hailing from Birmingham’s vibrant music scene. With heart pounding vocals, infectious melodies and sharp riffs Blue Nation have set themselves high standards. All of their support acts hail from Manchester; The Montoyas, The Brakes, The Spirit Vines and Brad Wilde.

Band on the Wall is delighted to welcome back the classic mod revival band Secret Affair after their storming gig there last year. Formed in 1978 and disbanded in 1982, Secret Affair burned brightly in those few short years following an incendiary trajectory similar to that of suited and booted soul mates The Jam of sold out gigs, fanatical fans and blistering singles. Indeed, in a little over 2 years Secret Affair posted five releases in the UK Singles Chart and released three albums. The debut single ‘Time For Action sold over 200,000 copies and reached number 13 in the UK chart, putting the band at the forefront of the mod revival movement. Now back and as sharp as ever – get your classic mod kick at The Band.
