Math Madness, Kraak

Cleft / Lost In The Riots / Flat Stanley

The Drum Tamer promises to bring a night of “math madness, full power rock & prog underpants” to Kraak tonight in the form of Cleft, Lost In The Riots and Flat Stanley as they penetrate Kraak in Manchester with a blend of math-prog-smash-rock. Cleft is a turbo-prog two-piece band from Manchester who make massive, dirty, instrumental music using a guitar and some drums. Imagine a machine that compresses 14 minute songs down to 3 minutes and you’ve got Cleft! Lost in the Riots are a four-piece post rock outfit fighting their way out of Watford since 2010. Taking a different approach to the town’s hardcore roots, the quartet serve up an energetic, guitar-driven mammoth of quiet-loud dynamics. Flat Stanley are a renegade trio From Manchester, thrusting out powerful riffs and amusing lyrics about Ready Brek. This one should be interesting!
