Tussle Summer Party with Tristan da Cunha

Tussle are heading to Kraak for their Summer party which promises to be a House masterclass. To make sure of it they’ve called on the services of long time Basics resident and one half of the heavy house duo Dungeon Meat Mr Tristan Da Cunha. Tussle have always been a fan of his Deep yet jacking party sets, so they are expecting to have some serious fun. Joining him will be Motif from Manchester’s Love Dose parties. Their recent EP on the party’s own label has had some great feedback from all sorts of 4/4 heavyweights. Residents Matt Wood and Aiden Lee will be going back to back  and Levi Bibby will be on hand from 10.30pm to set the vibe.

The Mantells launch their Debut EP ‘How To Say It‘ with a party at The Castle Hotel tonight and its FREE ENTRY! The night is filled with some of the best three-piece bands they could find including Hacketts who are going to be making their live debut, The Bliss who are coming all the way from Sleaford, Lincolnshire for this one with their Arctic Monkeys, Miles Kane and The Last Shadow Puppets influenced sounds and Black Sonic Revolver who are rightfully kicking up a fuss in Manchester at the moment. And then of course The Mantells will be headlining the night and everyone who attends the event will be able to get their hands on a free digital copy of the ‘How To Say It’ EP, they’ll tell you how on the night.

Martin Connor is a powerful & soulful singer based in Manchester. His roots are in soul, Jazz, Gospel, Hip-Hop and also in Latin-Soul, which he has been writing and performing with the 10-piece Bugalu Foundation as heard on Craig Charles’s Funk and Soul show. Tonight though Martin brings his band ‘The Soul Apostles‘, a 4-piece groove machine, to Matt & Phred’s to perform a combination of songs written by Martin and the band, and also some wonderful versions of songs written by soul greats. Expect rootsy Soul grooves and furious funk.
