El Diablo’s Social Club goes down into the Soup Kitchen basement, ready to rip it up like they always do. After a spring sojourn to tropical climes, the Mancunian party institution returns to the Soup Kitchen sweatbox, ready to celebrate their thirteenth birthday in hedonistic style. Far from flying solo behind the wheels of steel, the El Diablo residents will be joined by a couple of boys from Sao Paulo who’ll make it sizzle like a Bem Brazil steak. Fresh from a hectic year dropping mixes, edits and originals on the likes of Beats In Space, Disco Deviance and Disco Halal, the mighty Selvagem are in town and on heat, ready to rock your body with their particular brand of genre hopping madness. Expect to hear post punk, latin funk, tropical house, psychedelica, batucada and of course their specialty, Brazilian disco as Millos and Trepanado freak you further out than ever before.

Pretty Addicted

Alongside this musical revelry you’ll find podium dancers, “The scream screen“, prizes, giveaways and much more. The aforementioned ‘much more’ includes drinks offers.

Bob Log III, Night & Day

Night & Day
Bob Log III

Witnessing Bob Log III live is an unmissable and unforgettable experience. He takes to the stage with his face masked in a crash helmet with a black visor and a telephone wired in it for a mic and wearing a blue jump suit before unleashing a torrent of hardcore Mississippi Delta blues, hip hop beats and punk rock. The crash helmet telephone distorts the vocals and his hands, arms, legs and feet become a blur of jump suit clad limbs as he plays slide, triggers drum machines and drums with his feet simultaneously. Bob then adds extra ingredients to this punk blues bouillabaisse with his unique version of audience participation. Sounds like something to behold at Night & Day Café tonight!

“A mash of hardcore Mississippi Delta blues, hip hop beats and punk rock. ‘It’s just the loudest strangest stuff you’ve ever heard.” ~ Tom Waits
