Band On The Wall
Night of the Living Dread featuring Mikey D.O.N / Mr Womble / Ben Johnson
Due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding Junior Murvin‘s sudden cancellation of the European leg of his tour, it’s time instead for the seventh installment of Mikey D.O.N.’s Reggae night, Night Of The Living Dread. For this 7th event they are keeping this one especially ‘local’ and have renamed it ‘WOMBLE-D.O.N. 2012‘ – as along side Mikey D.O.N. for the first time ever they are bringing ex-Baron Turbo Charge mic-man & now a DJ in his own right, ‘Mr HMV’ himself, Mr Womble (see what they did there?!?), along with his team-mate Ben Johnson.
Tonight’s DJ’s will be armed to the teeth with killer tunes from all kinds of genres – Reggae old & new, from Dub to Dancehall, Roots Rockers to Ragga, Lovers Rock & anything else in the mix! Also, as on all the previous Night Of The Living Dread sessions expect to see plenty of MC’s holding down the mic duties. Entrance fee for this historic night is FREE!
This event will begin at 10pm but the Picturehouse Cafe Bar is open earlier for good times.

Tempa T
One of the most exciting forces in grime, East London’s Tempa T has thrilled and intimidated in equal measure since the release of debut single ‘Next Hype‘ in 2009, a track of such ferocity it was banned from numerous clubs for fear of starting riots. A founding member of the Slew Dem Crew, Tempa T’s furious and aggressive style has made him the envy of the scene and gained the attention of Chase and Status, whose single ‘Hypest Hype‘ featured the rapper.
Moving into 2012 Tempa T is set to build on his reputation as a lynchpin of the scene, collaborating with JME (Boy Better Know) amongst others on a set of new tracks for release later in the year, the first of which is new single ‘Say It Now‘.
