Singer-songwriter, BRIT Award-winner and two-time Mercury Prize nominee, Beth Orton leads the Wall of Sounds Artistic Directors Series, collaborating on new material with 13 specially selected up-and-coming female musicians during a week-long residency at Band on the Wall. Tonight Beth and the residency participants will perform the fruits of the week’s endeavours, live at this special finale event. Beth’s wealth of experience in the music industry, the eclectic mix of genres she works in, and her experimental approach to creating music all add to what will be a brilliant week and a truly unique performance.

Skamel will be playing a mixture of original tunes taken from their two albums (Skamel and C’est Un Safari) and Ska and Reggae classics from the past 60 years at Matt & Phred’s tonight. You’ll hear well-known tunes ranging from the early Ska of the Skatalites, through the Paragons, Gregory Isaacs and Horace Andy, to the Two-Tone of the Specials – expect a night of high-energy skanking!
