Dancers Wanted for Bell Towers & Ruf Dug, Soup Kitchen

Soup Kitchen
Dancers Wanted for Bell Towers / Ruf Dug

Melbourne’s finest sunshine spreader, Bell Towers, is bringing a record bag full of smiles to Soup Kitchen‘s basement for a hyper-real shower of sensations! Rohan Bell Towers moved to London a couple of years ago and since then has been making plenty of waves. If you are new to the Bell Towers sound then you have to check it – it’s sort of ravey but also very heady and futuristic, and definitely inspired by italo and euro pop but equally pounding dark NY garage and rough house. There’s a real pop sensibility going on as well. Above all, every single one of his tracks stinks of sheer joy. He’s got a great collection of music you’ve never heard before and while that might ordinarily put you on chinstroker alert, this is the stuff to make you SMILE. Usual Dancers Wanted rules apply and Ruf Dug on hand too.

The Ruby Lounge
So Flute Residents’ Summer Session Part 1

So Flute have been homeless since the sudden and sad closing of The Roadhouse but they have been looking at a number of different venues where they could potentially move the night to. They wanted to make sure that the space they found was a suitable match for the quality of the music they are putting out so after much thought and consideration they have settled on The Ruby Lounge which is a bit of a ‘curve-ball’ for them but is what excites them about using such a venue. The line up for this first summer dance is Danuka, Bolts, Yadava and Baloo all hosted By Kwasi.
