Soup Kitchen
BIGkids / Hologram Heart Parade
Soup Kitchen do it yet again; bringing one of the ‘buzziest’ bands around to Manchester’s Northern Quarter to play in their basement, this time it’s the turn of BIGkids.
Bigkids? Bigwho? BIGkids are a boy and girl from Camden. The boy in question is none other than Kanye West‘s mate Mr Hudson, and the girl is Rosie Bones, who just happens to be Bill Oddie‘s daughter. Big singalong duets to grin your face off to, over DIY beats with lots of saxophones and samples. This is music to trash your bedroom to. Watch this space for BIGthings from BIGkids and do yourself a favour and go see them at Soup. BIGkids

Dusty Pop presents My Preserver + guests
Formed back in 2010, London rock outfit My Preserver are a rapidly rising star in the music world. The 4-piece quickly earned a reputation for their explosive live performances at the likes of London’s Borderline, 100 Club, IndigO2, Clapham Grand, XOYO and also London’s Astoria 2 before the venue closed its doors for the final time. In the meantime the band set about recording their debut album ‘Revolutions In The Head‘, with Premen Underhill (Bloc Party, Klaxons) on production duties. Before the group had even released a track their album was leaked in late 2011, leading to an XFM New Music Award nomination and an early sign of things to come. With the album ‘Revolutions In The Head‘ due to be released on November 5th 2012 the anticipation continues to build. My Preserver

Band On The Wall
Hawklords / GNOD / Lightshow by Big Dave’s Lighthouse
Cosmic warriors and psychedelic legends Hawklords beam down and hit the road to tour their first studio album for 34 years plus all their classic tracks with full lightshow and head thrills for all. Plus a very special appearance by cerebral lysergic frontiersmen GNOD.
Born from the swirling cauldron of the disbanded Hawkwind in 1978, Hawklords were the new wave psych vision of the late great frontman Robert Calvert. Under his direction they released ‘25 Years On‘ - their only full studio album until September this year when they released ‘We Are One‘. Comprising of brand new material, the album and tour feature key former Hawkwind personnel: the legendary synth man Harvey Bainbridge, keyboard wizard Steve Swindells, the rocking guitar of Jerry Richards, punk poet Ron Tree on vocals, the barnstorming bass of Adrian Shaw, plus Dave Pearce from The Bevis Frond on drums. The band will be performing new and classic material down the ages – 2 hour set with full synapse-burning light show by Big Dave’s Lighthouse.
Very special guests for this show are Manchester psychedelic noise collective GNOD whose extended, epic and extremely trippy live sets have led to them playing alongside everyone from Zombie Zombie and White Hills to Acid Mothers Temple.
