Mr Wilson's Second Liners, Matt & Phreds

Matt & Phreds
Mr Wilson’s Second Liners

Never has Matt & Phred’s felt more like a cross between a New Orleans Dive mixed in with the hey day of Manchester’s infamous Hacienda night club. If you missed the 90’s in Manchester, Mr. Wilson’s Second Liners will take you back to an era missed by almost every Mancunian who raved! Quintessential New Orleans meets 90s club classics. In New Orleans, funerals are celebrated in style, with noisy brass bands processing through the streets. The main section of the parade is known as First Line, but the real fun starts with the Second Line, those who follow the band to enjoy the music, marching with the musicians and twirling parasols or waving handkerchiefs. Welcome to Second Lining. This is going to be another top night!

Hey! Manchester presents James & The UltraSounds

On a given night in midtown Memphis one can find any number of different rock bands thrashing out riffs and tossing off lyrics as fast as the thirsty audience members pour down cheap beers. Amidst the dim lights, heat and discordant blend of conversation and sharp chord progressions emerging from venues like the Hi Tone, the Buccaneer Lounge and Bar DKDC there has been a group distinguishing itself over the course of the last year or so as one of the best up and coming rock acts in the city. If you happen to be one of those who haven’t yet heard James and the UltraSounds, strap yourself in at Gullivers tonight.
