Soup Kitchen
Ren Harvieu’s Christmas Concert

It’s good to have a bit of tradition at Christmas, and that’s exactly what the Ren Harvieu Christmas Concerts are becoming, this year taking place across two evenings at the Soup Kitchen. You can expect surprises, special guests, and festive cheer from this local singer/songwriter whose voice you will no doubt recognise from the singles ‘Through the Night‘ and ‘Open Up Your Arms‘ from her first album ‘Through the Night‘ which was released on Island Records on 14 May 2012, entering the UK album chart at No 5. Ren is currently working on her second album so maybe she’ll give you a sneaky peak at a song or two.

Charlie Cooper & The CCs

Covering the usual topics of love and relationships but also the not so typical topics of religion and addiction, Charlie invites you in for a glimpse into her mind and her world, whilst her band (The CC’s) kick it like Booker T and the MGs. Charlie has been writing new material for her second EP set to introduce her to the world as a formidable songwriting talent and a vocal force to be reckoned with. Backed by a wealth of talented Manchester musicians, Charlie’s live performances are said to be extravagantly musical, rich in energy and emotion. Find out for yourself at Matt & Phred’s tonight.
