Influenced by their Caribbean heritage, and growing up around the rich, diverse elements of the Black British musical experience, Cymande created a new and exciting sound captivating audiences throughout the UK, USA, Europe and the continent of Africa. After releasing three albums ‘Cymande‘, ‘Second time around‘ and ‘Promised Heights‘ which featured future rare groove and breaks classics such as ‘Bra‘, ‘Brother’s on the Slide‘ & ‘Fug‘ the band disbanded in 1974. Almost 40 years after the band formally stopped performing, Cymande, is back together and have recorded a new album scheduled for release in late 2014.
