Twenty Two launches on Wednesday 10th October from 6pm at 2022nq giving us a first glimpse of this new zine as well as getting to listen to some DJs and drink some booze!
Twenty Two is a new, bi-monthly magazine for Manchester, covering all aspects of arts and culture in the city. This new magazine is brought to you by the team behind 2022nq, led by Editor Jayne Robinson. Dave Sedgewick from Design by Dave leads the design side whilst award winning photographer, Matthew Comer is looking after the images. 2022nq director and CALMzine founder Jamie Scahill heads the team to ensure it follows the collaborative and inclusive ethos of 2022nq.
Each issue will have a theme, with the front cover being handed over to an illustrator for their representation of the theme. Responsibility for the first issue is being handed over to Daren Newman, an illustrator, typographer and designer raised and based in Manchester UK, who also works under the moniker of Me&MyPen. We will have to wait for the launch to find out what he has come up with
So on to the party….. The night will be the first look launch for Twenty Two and sees a whole host of DJs and artists involved come along to celebrate the launch along with some free booze, and we’re all invited too! DJs on the night will be Will Orchard (Now Wave/Gorilla), John Thorp (Work Them) and Pasta Paul (Piccadilly Records / Trof).
