Trof

Trof, or Trof NQ to give its full name, really is the kind of place where you can hang out all day and/or all night; park up in the day and jump on the wifi with a big slice of cake and a frothy coffee, satisfy your cravings when you munch on breakfasts and award winning burgers, sandwiches and salads and  enjoy a drink from their extensive range. Plus the staff will make you want to stay all day and be best friends!

Trof Interior

All the food serve at Trof is made and cooked by their chefs from fresh ingredients in their kitchen using free range meat or freedom farmed and locally sourced produce where possible, whether that’s in the gargantuan Royal Brekkie, the famous Sunday roast, award winning burgers, the deliciously different daily specials or anything else on the expansive menu.

Trof Burger

Breakfast is served until a hangover-helpful 4pm every day with the lunch menu starting from Midday. One of the highlights of the Trof dining week is undoubtedly the traditional homemade roasts which are served with all the trimmings and seasonal vegetables every Sunday from midday. Need a recommendation before heading here for food? How about from the Observer Food Magazine? Trof were awarded OFM awards 2013 Best Cheap Eats: runners up. Not bad eh?! (Give the menu a click and it gets a bit easier to read!)

Trof Menu

When it comes to drinking as you would expect from any Northern Quarter drinking den worth its salt they have a sophisticated selection of spirits and wines to make you go woozy, a wide range of craft beers some brewed in Manchester and others from further afield and their house cocktails have been created using their very own recipes and fresh ingredients (but of course just ask nicely and they can make your favourite classics).

Trof Bourbon Bar

If that’s not enough to tempt you then perhaps the upstairs bourbon bar, with one of the largest selections of bourbon in the UK can tempt you with over 40 bourbons for you to come and sample. Check out the Bourbon bar menu here or the regular drinks menu here and save yourself some pennies during Happy Hour from 5-8pm which includes £3 for a pint of Trof lager, £5 for house cocktails and £10 for a bottle of house wine.

Trof Wings

Trof is famous for its love of music and entertainment and Trof NQ is no exception. The weeknights are packed with open mic nights (Monday 8pm, hosted by Guy Connor of Paris Riots), quizzes (Tuesday 8pm, with free chips & money, booze and tickets up for grabs) and live music including ‘Making Waves‘ and the RNCM playing jazz all night long. Fridays and Saturdays sees the place handed over to the great and the good of Manchester DJs, keeping everyone dancing the night away until 3am.

Organising a party? Whatever the occasion Trof can help you celebrate. You can hire out the upstairs bar, the Montana lounge or just reserve a table or two. A sit down meal, buffet, party, dancing-whatever you’ve got in mind Trof can sort you out. Projector, DVD, live performance and DJ equipment are all available should you need them.
