SoLIta have been causing a stir in the Northern Quarter for nearly a year now and unlike the ill-fated Sole who’s unit they took over they are here to stay. They have built a reputation for serving up decadent dishes that are definitely not for those on a diet and are now looking to build on this reputation, and expand their offering, with a new menu that includes some lighter options, some innovative dishes. To make sure we can all get in to try the new dishes they are also opening up a refurbished basement dining area.
The new menu will have 4 salads, more seafood, more vegetarian options, more burgers, a DIY tartare with either steak or tuna which is thought to be a first for the UK, and a 24 ounce New York strip steak for two which, like the rest of the steaks & burgers, is made from grass-fed Dexter cattle. Don’t worry though, there are still plenty of calorie-laden, meat sweat inducing options for you to choose from and as ever the dishes are cooked over charcoal on their special Inka grills which bring the taste & aromas of an outdoor barbecue indoors.
Enough talk though, I think the photos (expertly taken by Carl Sukonik) tell the story better than I ever could.
If you want to have a look at the whole menu then I’ve put it below, just give it a click and it should be big enough for you to actually read it! Make sure you have food at hand though because reading this will make you hungry!
SolITa has been getting busier and busier so to counter the queues at weekends July also sees the opening of SoLITA’s updated basement dining room which will boost covers for sixty, including four new booths which seat between 8 and 14 people in an intimate setting. They also have some excellent private dining spaces for tailor-made parties and celebrations.
