Following a great party with the Hold it Down guys and of course Peter Mangalore to see off 2013 Sauce have decided to treat us to something special to kick off 2014.

Dutchman and Clone Records’ Alden Tyrell brings his unique brand of live Chicago tinged techno to Manchester’s Northern Quarter where he will be joined at Kraak by Sankeys’ Miguel Manzano and residents Asher Jones and Dave Owen for this first Sauce party of the year.

Martijn Hoggendijk, AKA Alden Tyrell began his historic relationship with electronic music back in the golden era when Electro and Italo were in their infancy. He picked up his first synthesizer in the early 80’s and has been obsessively collecting them ever since. For most people, Tyrell is known as one of the leading lights in the Italo resurgence of the last decade, with his trademark tracks “Disco Lunar Module”, “Love Explosion” and “Rendez-Vous at Rimini” becoming contemporary electronic classics. More recently he’s been turning his hand to Chicago tinged, jacking burners, that can be heard in his “Jack for Daze” series…

You’ll probably find the name Alden Tyrell credited on more Clone records than anyone else, whether as a producer, collaborator or mastering engineer. Over the years he’s become an integral part of the Rotterdam based label and its various offshoots.
