This Sunday, 15th July, the Northern Quarter’s newly refurbished Cord Bar will play host to a Mod and Northern Soul alldayer to celebrate their official relaunch.
The bar, on Dorsey Street, Northern Quarter, has just undergone an extensive revamp and is the venue for a Mod alldayer organised by promoters, The Rock & Roll Lounge. There will be several DJs playing on the day including successful TV chef and full-time Northern Soul aficionado Stacie Stewart who is the jewel in the crown of Cord Bar’s re-opening celebrations. Throughout the day the DJs will be playing Mod, R’n’B, Ska, Britpop, Freakbeat and plenty of Northern Soul from 2pm until late and admission is FREE.

Natalie, from Manchester, is the youngest DJ to play on the day at only 21 and hosts a very popular internet radio show called ‘#SubCultured’. Expect to hear Britpop, soul, freakbeat and lots more.
Double Hip Club DJs
The boys are travelling from Leeds where they run a very popular all vinyl beat and garage night.
Rock & Roll Lounge DJs
Thursday night residents at The Frog & Parrot, Sheffield (and no strangers to Manchester) playing mod, northern soul, ska, groovy hammond, eclectic cover versions and anything else that fits the bill!
Stacie Stewart
Former Masterchef contestant, TV cook, owner of the Beehive Bakery in Sunderland and full-time mod. Stacie will be playing an all vinyl Northern Soul set which is sure to fill the dancefloor! Her DJ sets are in high demand and this is the first time she’s played in Manchester.
