PLY, Stevenson Square, Northern Quarter, Manchester

PLY lies right in the heart of the Northern Quarter on Stevenson Square. A bustling bar that serves up sourdough, Neapolitan pizzas from its mirror tiled, woodfired oven and a whole lot more besides.

As you would expect from a bar in the NQ it boasts a carefully crafted drinks menu which includes twists on classic cocktails and craft beer sourced from local and international brewers alike. You can check it out here. But enough of the drinks, back to that disco oven! The food menu is unashamedly simple in its offering with the focus on delicious pizzas topped with simple, tasty ingredients from the UK and Italy. There’s a selection of Antipasti too and a great value lunchtime menu.

PLY is a fresh, creative space and design-led concept and in addition to its speciality menus serves up a varied and interesting programme of creative exhibitions and events – so far it has showcased film, illustration, animation and textiles based exhibitions by internationally renowned artists and this programme will continue to develop into 2017.

Also, look out for the doodle wall which is refreshed regularly by local artists and the library – or “PLYbrary” – where you can spend a good few hours with a book and your favourite bottle.
