I was sat in a meeting where the forthcoming Northern Quarter Takeover was being discussed and having talked about road closures, security, fencing and toilets the subject turned to the entertainment that each of the venues is going to put on. So round the table the discussions went with BBQs and bars seemingly the order of the day, each with the particular venue’s special slant, when all eyes turned to Home Sweet Home. Expecting more of the same from them, which of course is part of the plan, the assembled all laughed when we heard this “……… and we’re going to have a dog show“.
It wasn’t a joke. There really is going to be a dog show as part of the Takeover! So if you have a dog, or can borrow one for a while on Sunday 26th you will probably want to be a part of the inaugural Northern Quarter Dog Show. It’s a pound to enter the competition which is hosted by Home Sweet Home and Simple and all the proceeds are going to the NQTakeover nominated charities, Macmillan and Mind. It’s going to be held on Oak Street, near Home Sweet Home and all you need to get your little darling doggie entered is email NQDOGSHOW@SIMPLEBAR.CO.UK.
