UPDATED: 6/5/16 – The chances to dine/drink al-fresco in the Northern Quarter are sadly few and far between, but the current stretch of sunny (and warm) weather is giving us all ample opportunity to enjoy a little bit of the great outdoors. The one thing we are most definitely NOT blessed with in the Northern Quarter is any decent green space, but if you know your way around the area you can get a decent amount of sunshine. So here’s a quick list of all the places you can catch some rays this summer….hopefully.
Patios ~ Bluu / TNQ Restaurant (In the picture above) / Luck, Lust, Liquor & Burn / Pie & Ale / Cane & Grain / Oak Street Cafe (Part of Manchester Craft & Design Centre) / Solita / Tib Street Gardens (Outside Madera & Simple but only on occasion)
On Pavement – Cafes ~ Sugar Junction / Federal / Home Sweet Home / Teacup on Thomas / Oklahoma / Slice / Chai Latte / Eastern Bloc / Rosy Lee Tea Rooms
On Pavement – Bars & Restaurants ~ The Blue Pig / Tariff & Dale / Solita / The Bay Horse / Walrus / 57 Thomas Street / Common / Dry Bar / Night & Day / TNQ Restaurant / Dough / Evuna / The Whiskey Jar / El Capo / Cane & Grain / Shack / Kosmonaut / Abel Heywood / Pen & Pencil
(Secret) Gardens ~ Terrace (above the bar) / The Bay Horse / Port Street Beer House / Nexus
Outdoor seating but not much sun (if any)! ~ Odd Bar / Simple / North Tea Power / Soup Kitchen
I’ll add in some pretty pictures and a bit more detail in the coming days but for now enjoy the sunshine (and don’t forget the sunscreen!).
P.S. If I’ve missed anywhere then let me know in the comments and I’ll get them added.
