“Athletic 4 year old male, 3ft tall, 22lbs with black hair and brown eyes currently seeks playful pooch who enjoys the outdoors, American-style food and is unfazed by fame.”
Bruce, the resident Patterdale Terrier of Black Dog Ballroom is on the hunt for a companion to share a hot dog and a game of fetch with this Valentine’s Day. While Bruce remains a popular pooch with the guests of the Black Dog bars, he is yet to find a canine companion to play ball with. He enjoys long walks around Manchester, tug of war, and chewing up toys, and is looking for a dog with similar interests to share in the fun with him.
Black Dog Ballroom are calling for all suitable canines to upload a short bio, as well as a photo to their Facebook page or over on Twitter, to be in with a chance of winning this famous pooch’s heart. Bruce’s date will be treated to a walk around Manchester, followed by a hot date at Black Dog Ballroom in the Northern Quarter, with a complimentary meal for their owners.
As a local Manchester celebrity, Bruce is an extremely eligible bachelor. The Black Dog brand was inspired by the famous pup with the name of the brand originating from cheeky Bruce, when Black Dog Ballroom opened in the Northern Quarter in 2009. Dog Bowl, the newest bar and bowling alley in the Black Dog brand, features ball dispensers inspired by the pooch (well his arse to be precise!) whilst Black Dog NWS has ‘Bruce’s Bar‘, as well as his own funky dog kennel underneath the stairs to the bar and terrace.
Not content with having bars and bowls named after him this past Autumn Bruce also appeared in his very first acting role, when he stole the show in the newest video from the team at Dog Bowl which featured the various tribes of Manchester synonymous with the streets of the city centre, from Hipsters to rockers and indie kids.
He’s even getting into the fashion world as the guys at Dead Legacy clothing have recently released a new range of t-shirts featuring a print of Bruce as a puppy on the front of the t-shirt. The short sleeved t-shirts are a regular/slim fit and available in white or grey from sizes small to extra large. The t-shirts are available to buy for £24.99 from Dead Legacy over here.
Come on, HELP FIND BRUCE A DATE!!!
