Yesterday, Friday 28th June was a very sad day in the Northern Quarter as a fire broke out in Almost Famous on the High Street at around 1.30pm.
Fortunately all the customers and staff in Almost Famous, Luck Lust Liquor & Burn and Keko Moku were evacuated safely but despite the valiant efforts of the Manchester Fire service the roof of Almost Famous collapsed due to the fire. The damage is yet to be assessed fully but hopefully the fact that the brigade were able to confine the fire to the roof and kitchen area will mean that less work will be required to bring the businesses back.
UPDATE:- KEKO MOKU HAS REOPENED!
ALMOST FAMOUS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
We will keep you updated here and @NQManchester. In the mean time you can still get your Almost Famous burger fix at #MANCHESTERBEACHCLUB (& now Luck, Lust, Liquor & Almost Famous) and breakfast, lunch, dinner, shakes and pulled pork pile ups (and much more!) down at Home Sweet Home. Please give them your support.
We can’t wait to see all these great businesses back in the Northern Quarter soon, better than ever no doubt. The phoenix will rise….
