This website is dedicated to all the great things happening in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and making sure you don’t miss any of it.

northernquartermanchester.com will be THE ONLY place you need to visit for all you need to know about the most vibrant neighbourhood in the North West.

Soon the website will have everything you need, from a directory of businesses covering bars, clubs, restaurants, shopping and everything else besides to upcoming events to helpful maps, a blog and a forum to discuss what is happening in the most exciting part of Manchester… the NORTHERN QUARTER.

Feel free to leave feedback about what you would like to see on the site.

We’re residents of the Northern Quarter and love living here, that’s why we decided to start this site.

Follow @NQManchester for updates and news.

  • We moved into the Northern Quarter in June, after 11 years at the Northern Campus on Sackville Street..

The best move we ever made.

  • Amazing! This blog looks exactly like my old one!
It’s on a totally different subject but it has pretty much the same page layout and design.
    Superb choice of colors!

    Really like this website 🙂
I am a Londoner but visit Manchester a few times a year, mainly to go to gigs, and I am desperately trying to relocate there. Just a case of finding a job first. It would be great if there was a section on this site where local businesses/companies could post their job vacancies! 🙂

    • Matt

Glad you like the site Emma! A jobs section is a great idea and something I’ll be looking at adding at some point, just need to find the time. I do retweet any vacancies that are in the Northern Quarter I see over on Twitter so, if you aren’t already, give us a follow @NQManchester. Good luck with the search!

How long does it take for the NQ card to arrive once paid for?

    • Matt

I post it out either the same day or the next working day, so then it’s over to Royal Mail!

As a Mancunian, I’m very disappointed in your website. You are trying to attract people to your area of the City, but don’t have a map to show people where you are. How can people find you? One of the great attractions of a city is to amble through the streets, soak in the atmosphere, call in a pub/cafe etc.

In addition, your “What’s on”items are all out of date.

Which ideas are you thinking of ?

I’m a born and bred Manc who has loved the NQ area all my life ! It has inspired my art and I have drawn/ painted many works on NQ- driven themes. Would you like me to e- mail you some images ?
